Keys to 360’s Victory
Xbox360 + GameDaily Biz
05.15.2007 at 8:31 am
GameDaily Biz has posted six points they believe will lead Microsoft to the console wars winners circle.
“Microsoft’s Xbox business may not be profitable at this stage, but you can’t deny that the company has made great strides in both market share and mindshare since entering the video game space back in November 2001. The Xbox 360 is in great shape, but to think that Microsoft has sewn up the console race simply because they’re ahead with 11 million shipped (5.3 million sold in the U.S.) would be foolish.
That said, although this article is not meant to be a predictor of things to come, we do think the 360 has a legitimate chance of taking the crown this generation if Microsoft follows these steps (listed in no particular order)”

Finally, for this round of Poke-news, the two games sold a lot, over one million in five days. Not to shabby. This bit of news, of course, caused all blogging sites to dust of the fun filled “It prints money!” animated gift, always a classic.

Phil Harrison Speaks
PS3 + 1up + Interview + Joystiq + Kotaku + GameDaily Biz
02.26.2007 at 2:27 pm
GameDaily BIZ has up an interview with Phil Harrison (Sony). My personal favorite ‘line’ is about Microsoft and their one game.
“Microsoft’s approach I think is far too built around a single game IP, one IP, and they could learn the benefits of a killer catalog rather than a killer application.”
Kotaku are big fans of Phil’s belief that “the demand is unprecedented” and 1up points out that ‘rumble is a last generation feature’.
Joystiq has also put up the story.
