Last week a GameStop employee posted “Memoirs of a GameStop Employee” where he lays the smack down on whiny little customers.
“In case you couldn’t figure this out, our damn job relies on people pre-ordering new releases and getting subscriptions to Game Informer. Do you even know how the reserves work?”
On Monday this reply was posted.
“You are led into a false sense of martyrdom, because you as a clerk are more likely to see cool gamer kids come into your store, people you can relate with because as consumers you’re both in the same demographic. Therefore, when forced to deal with a soccer mom who doesn’t know the first thing about video games and is buying that “Nintendo 360″ or “XBox3″ for their kid, you groan in frustration and act like all the world’s ills have fallen upon your shoulders alone.”
