Did You Hear What Chris Hecker Said?

It seems the media and blogging world has jumped in and made a much to do about nothing. What Chris said was said in a forum designed to allow people to rant, it wasn’t a press release, it wasn’t a keynote speech, it was people gathered together to vent. Anything said in that room should have been taken with a grain of salt.
Further more, we have no a recording of this (that we know of). Which means anything written on any website is nothing more then a game of telephone. The context these things were said was lost a hundred blog posts ago and we’ve seen the media/bloggers spin it in several different ways some supporting and some hating.
Basically, it made for a good GDC story so everyone started the posting engines.
