my list for prep on Halo 3
1. Go buy groceries, youll need to eat. dont wait till you have it to buy the food
2. prep your game space.
3. have beer or liquir handy (some of you may sub in soda or sports drinks)
4. Play other games to pass time tiill wednesday night. I recommend Crackdown new content or more Halo2 for skill,
5. SLEEP!! (for the hardcore you will be going on little to no sleep during this one)
6. Remember your significant other (for all of you who have no girl/boy in your life, skip this one. [the rest of us have to consider the sig’s needs too] )
7. Have fun, and do look for bugs and exploits =)”

Fanboy Damage Control Time - DMC4 Edition

Fanboys, I love them and today the Sony faithful is out doing massive damage control while the 360 zealots are cheering another ‘victory’. It’s days like this I live for.
The reason for all this fanboy action is, for those of you that make your residence under a rock, the Capcom announcement that Devil May Cry 4 is now on the PS3 AND Xbox360. Oh, the excitement!
Here’s a run down of some of our favorite early morning reactions:
“thank you capcom and might i say, hahahahahaha, $600 ftl”
“I guess Microsoft has been very generous with developers. Assassin’s Creed, Devil May Cry, GTA4…Still, if any of the three following games: Metal Gear Solid 4, FFXIII, or FF Versus XIII gets ported before they are launched, it’s doom and gloom for Sony.”
“Do 360 owners play anything other than shooters and sports games? Nah, i didnt think so.”
“..sigh…i really wanted to believe that Sony would be smart enough to spend the money to secure key intellectual properties…guess not. seems they’re more concerned with selling blu-ray than making their customers happy. hurry up and move MGS4 to the 360 so i can sell my damn PS3…this is ridiculous…sony is being REALLY fucking stupid…FUCK this pisses me off.”

So after shelling out $10 million to develop a title, why would you choose to release a title on only one system when you could release it on two? Unless Sony or Microsoft are willing to cut one hell of a check for you, as a third party developer, it makes very little sense to keep your game “exclusive” to one console.”
“I think the problem people have is the company over and over again claimed that the game was exclusive. I don’t have a problem with a game going multi-platform, but don’t lie about it being exclusive when you had another version in development all along.”
“I’m putting myself in Capcom’s shoes, but I just can’t seem to be able to port Lost Planet and Dead Rising to PS3. Am I missing something? Perhaps I’m in the wrong shoes. Maybe if I was in the shoes of Capcom having an incentive NOT to port those titles… Bingo! It’s a shame that Microsoft has to resort to monopolizing tactics instead of themselves doing the work, as in doing some nice titles themselves other than Halo and buying exclusives left and right.”

“Am I the only one who thinks DMC4 is waaaayyyy too over hyped? A game with barely any footage shouldn’t be this hyped and is only riding on the previous game’s success. And frankly I’d laugh if it was a let down like DMC2 and I have felt that way for awhile.”
