Playing Catch-Up

Freakin' Metal!

Freakin' Metal!

It seems I’ve been gone for a while. I can say I’ve been busy but isn’t that the usual line? I can also say I’ll try harder to continually update, but again isn’t that the usual blogger line.

I’ve been gaming though. I got my MacBook Pro fixed, which allowed me to catch up on a number of MMOs I had been missing out on. I went on a bit of a bender and ended up playing World of Warcraft, Aion, Champions Online, Guild Wars, and Dungeon & Dragons Online. When I awoke from my MMO hangover I found myself feeling a bit nostalgic and dove into Super Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission. Right now, I’m making my way through Batman: Arkham Asylum and hoping to get my hands on Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend soon.

The PSPGo was released a few weeks ago and despite the fact it’s cool to hate the system I’m excited. The PSPGo is what I wanted the original PSP to be, a portable device with internal memory that allows me to carry multiple games, music and movies in my pocket. The original PSP never hit that mark. It was too big, UMDs meant having only one game with you and I hated buying memory cards.

I’m going to end this post with a bit of future plans. As I mentioned above I have my laptop up and running again which will allow me to return to working on video podcasts for the site. It’s the direction I want to go with future posts so I’ll keep everyone updated as videos become closer to being a reality.

Hello and Welcome

"I can see my house from here!"

I can see my house from here!

So let me start by explaining my current predicament. I have plans for the site that include things like audio and video podcasts. However, at the moment, my primary laptop has decided it no longer wants to boot. So until I take a trip to the Chicago Apple Store I’m limited in what I can do. When that’s taken care of it’s full speed ahead or at least a bit faster ahead.

Until bigger plans come together I hope to be able to express myself in written word though I don’t consider myself a writer in anyway. As my twitter page says I’m a graphic designer, gamer and an on and off art school student. That being said I’ll try my best.

What will I write about you might be asking? Well the name of the site is Fan Boys Must Die and that will be what I mostly focus on. Think of me as the person that will separate the rabid ramblings of a blinded devotee from the rational facts and discussions. I’ll also chime in with some news and reviews and random gaming items.

So that’s it for now, I’m off to play more inFAMOUS (the reason for the inFAMOUS picture at the top). So as I always say, please don’t actually kill anyone or anything. Please be nice to each other.
